How to measure correctly

What you will need

1. The photographs you want to frame
2. Notebook
3. Pen
4. Tape measure

Step 1

Place the art you want to frame on a clean and flat surface.

Step 2

Measure and note in our notebook first the height and then the width. Measure again and verify the dimensions.

Tip 1

If your art piece has a white margin at the perimeter and you don’t want it to be visible at the final framed piece then exclude it from the measurement.

Tip 2

The picture frame or matboard always “hide” a portion of your framed piece. Keep in mind that 4 mm around your piece will be hidden.

Tip 3

If you measure in cm keep your measurment in one decimal for example 50.2 cm.
